At the time when digital revolution was taking place and India was going to enter in the computer age, the need of keeping pace with the technological development led to the establishment of Institute of Computer Sciences (ICS) in 1984.

The objective of the Institute was to promote the technology which was going to become a necessity for the development and progress in future. Initiating with Computer training, software development and data processing, the institute diversified its activities in the field of teaching through multimedia and audio-visual aids. Now visualizing the prospects of 3D printing as an upcoming technology, ICS has started educational/awareness programs for schools and industries on 3D Printing Technology.
